Testimonials (Counselling)

Michelle, 32

I have had the privilege of knowing Miss Cindy Koh for over a decade, and I am deeply grateful for the significant role she has played in my personal growth and development. I first met her when I was in Secondary Three (YR:2009/2010) during a particularly challenging period in my life when I was at risk of dropping out of school and struggling to cope with my emotions alone.

Coming from a single-parent background, I often found it difficult to manage my emotions and personal void during my teenage years, which led to a series of poor decisions. During this time, Miss Cindy Koh provided me with a safe and supportive environment where I felt genuinely heard and understood. Her guidance helped me develop a more reflective and positive mindset, enabling me to gradually regain direction in my life over time with the guidance programme.

What distinguishes Miss Cindy Koh is not only her professional competence, but also her sincere compassion and long-term commitment to those she supports. Even after I graduated from secondary school, she continued to keep in touch—reaching out at least once a year to check on my well-being and to wish me well. Over time, this consistent care has grown into a lasting connection, and she has become a trusted mentor and a friend for life. Her continued encouragement has been an immense source of reassurance and strength.

Through her patience, dedication, and thoughtful guidance, I have been able to grow into the person I am today. Her contributions extend far beyond conventional counselling, and I firmly believe that her work is both impactful and invaluable to individuals seeking support within social services.

Miss Cindy Koh has been one of the well-wishers in my life, and I will always be grateful for the difference she has made. I will always remain sincerely appreciative of Miss Cindy Koh as one of the key positive influences in my life.

I met Ms Cindy when I was 12, at a time when I was a troubled kid struggling with family issues and school. I wasn’t doing well academically, and I felt quite lost then.

She was always very kind, patient, and warm. What stood out to me most was how she truly listened without judging, and how thoughtful she was with her words. She created a safe space for me to open up, even when I found it hard to express myself.

Over the years, I’ve met her at different stages of my life. From secondary school to ITE, poly, and now as a working adult. Through it all, she has remained consistently supportive, understanding, and encouraging!

Looking back, I’m really grateful to have met Ms Cindy during that period of my life. I may not have been the best student back then, but I’ve grown, and I truly believe she played a part in that journey.

I would highly recommend her to youths, individuals and even if you are an adult who may be going through difficult phases in life. She is someone who genuinely cares and walks alongside you with patience and heart. Having someone like her can truly make a difference.
